National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An expressed his support to Burkina Faso in hosting the 10th Francophone Summit later this year.



Chairman An, who met with visiting Burkina Faso President Blaise Compaore in Ha Noi on Wednesday, affirmed that Viet Nam would continue its foreign policy of independence, and give priority to developing ties with friendly countries, including Burkina Faso.



He said that economic cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries should be boosted for mutal benefits as well as for development of each nation to meet ardent aspirations of the two people.



President Compaore said he hoped that the two countries' legislative agencies would boost exchange, experience sharing and cooperation in the years to come.
