Clouds Hanging over Upcoming ITU Telecom Asia 2004 Event
ITU Telecom Asia 2004 will be held in Busan, Korea from September 7th to 11th. When Seoul and Busan competed for hosting this event in 2002, Seoul could be the city in Korea best qualified for hosting ITU Telecom Asia 2004 in terms of IT industry and local economy.However, politics played a major role in selecting Busan over Seoul, where Busan wanted to utilize this event as the launching pad to strengthen frail IT industry in Busan. Of course, the economic benefit from tourism was a major factor. more>>
